This is one spatula you won't find melted up against the side of the stove. Heat resistant to 500 degrees F, it's crafted from a sturdy silicone that won't scratch or scrape nonstick cooking surfaces. It really IS that super duper heat resistant.Unfortunately a smart-alecky friend "tested" it for me. The spatula's fine. I got the sharp-looking black one, and it neither melted nor became discolored.

I got this spatula along with the scraper. These are very good items from Kitchenaid and they go great with my mixer and food processor. The handles are very heavy-duty and the silicone is very pliable and makes for great scraping. My suggestion is to look for these on the same card. It is like buying one and getting one for free...that way you can get two sets. You can never have enough spatulas and scrapers when baking.

The KitchenAid line of silicone utensils are positively perfect. They are very will made and excellent quality. The silicone material is amazing, it is so easy to clean, whether you are using this mixing spatula with cake mix, cookie dough or anything you are mixing or scraping nothing will sticks to it. The curved design on this spatula is a perfect match to the KitchenAid stand mixer bowl and it also works very well with my All Clad mixing bowls. With this spatula you will not miss a drop of anything in the bowl. Highly recommended!

I use this all the time. Like others said, it is just PERFECT! The handle is sturdy, the design is smooth, and the silicone is just right- it is not too sloppy or too firm. I use this to mix stuff and to scrape the bowl after mixing. It seems to be somewhat nonestick also. The best thing was that it came free with my classic stand mixer. If you need a spatula...this is the one to get.
